How to use the Exam Readiness Checker

  1. Rate every statement using evidence from recent work rather than how confident you feel today.
  2. Review the five area totals and the lowest-rated statements.
  3. Choose three achievable actions for the next week, then reassess after completing real practice.

A worked example

A student can feel confident after reading solutions but still struggle to start a new question. Rating independent explanation lower than recognition makes the next action clearer: attempt a short task without notes and explain the method before checking.

What to check before using your result

  • The percentage is an equal-weighted self-report index, not a predicted examination score or pass probability.
  • Your answers are not reviewed by a teacher unless you choose to discuss them separately.
  • Do not let a low score replace a constructive plan; identify a manageable next task.

Make your next practice session count

Use this result as a starting point, not a label for your ability. Record one error, explain its cause and complete a similar question without the worked answer. Then try a different example to check that you understood the method rather than remembered a number.

Questions about this tool

How is the index calculated?

Each of 15 statements is rated from zero to four. The total is divided by the 60 possible points and displayed as a percentage. The five areas have three statements each.

What should I do after a high score?

Test your judgement with an unfamiliar timed task, check your errors and revisit topics after a gap. A high self-report is not proof of mastery.

Do I need an account or need to send my results?

No account is required by this tool. Its calculations run in your browser. Tools with a Save on this device option store data locally only when you choose it; your browser, device policy and storage settings can affect persistence. Export important records before clearing browser data. This describes the tool, not any separate site analytics or contact-form processing.
